Dr. Regina Hampton is the Medical Director and co-founder of Breast Care for Washington, a nonprofit dedicated to providing access to mammograms regardless of the ability to pay.  The facility is the first 3D mammography facility east of the Anacostia in Ward 8, which has the highest mortality rate for breast cancer in the District of Columbia.  

Dr. Hampton is the Chief of Breast Surgery at Luminis Health- Doctors Community Medical Center, the first breast center in Prince George’s County.  She is a board-certified general surgeon who has focused her practice on breast health and breast cancer.  Her former private practice, Signature Breast Care, was the first breast surgery practice in the County.  
She plays an active role at Luminis Health- Doctors Community Medical Center.  She is the past President of the Medical Staff, the first female president in the 40-year history of the hospital.  Dr. Hampton was the Project Director for a Susan G. Komen $1million grant that provided mammograms for uninsured women.

Dr. Hampton attended the Medical College of Pennsylvania (Drexel University) and completed a general surgery residency at Howard University Hospital.  
 
She is the co-Founder of Cherry Blossom Intimates at Woodmore Towncenter in Prince George’s County, MD.  It is a bra and lingerie boutique offering custom prosthetics for breast cancer survivors and undergarments for all body shapes, sizes and skin tones.  She is the only physician in the country who is a certified mastectomy fitter.

She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Washington, DC Chapter of The  Links, Inc.

Dr. Hampton was featured in the Washington Post on the front page of an article regarding black women and breast cancer.  She has been featured in Essence magazine.  She has appeared on National Public Radio (NPR), The Russ Parr Morning Show, and Buddy Check 9 with Andrea Roane.  She is recognized as a Top Doctor in Washingtonian Magazine.  She was featured on OWN Your Health for breast cancer awareness on the Oprah Winfrey Network
