Roshaunda Jenkins Fund

Breast Care for Washington announces the renaming of our BCW CARES Fund for Uninsured Patients to the Roshaunda Jenkins Memorial Fund in loving memory of our patient Roshaunda Michelle Jenkins who lost her battle with breast cancer in summer 2018.  Roshaunda came to us without insurance after discovering a lump in her breast and unfortunately received a breast cancer diagnosis in February 2016.  After her diagnosis Roshaunda became a passionate advocate for Breast Care for Washington and breast cancer awareness and used her experience to share the message of the importance of early detection.   By naming this fund in her memory Roshaunda will continue to always be a part of our work.

The Roshaunda Jenkins Memorial Fund covers the cost of providing women who lack insurance with the breast imaging they need and pays for screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds, biopsies and their associated pathology costs.  Through the generosity of donors both large and small, the fund will ensure that Breast Care for Washington is able to succeed in its mission of providing access to breast cancer screening, diagnostics, and treatment to ALL women regardless of their ability to pay.  We are thrilled to know that with your help Roshaunda’s legacy goes on and she will continue to touch the lives of women in need.
